AGIRI's overall mission is to work toward the creation of powerful, ethically positive Artificial General Intelligence.

Our work toward this goal falls into three categories:

• The general promotion of AGI research, in the academic and commerce communities, and in the popular media as well
• The creation, deployment and teaching of the Novamente AI Engine, an in-development software system that we believe has a strong possibility of becoming the first true artificial general intelligence.
• The application of AGI technologies (including Novamente) in ethically positive ways
