The Path to Posthumanity is a nontechnical, “popular” book, by AGIRI leader Dr. Ben Goertzel. It discusses a variety of topics in near-future science and technology, with a particular focus on computing and biotech. Artificial General Intelligence is a major theme of the book, but not the only one.

Many of the chapters first appeared in the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemaine Zeitung.

This is very much a "living book". The contents will change over time as new technologies develop, and new chapters will be introduced discussing topics that have been omitted. The next chapter slated for insertion will strike a somewhat darker note than the current chapters, which are almost invariably optimistic in tone: it will deal specifically with the near-term dangers of future technology, such as genetically engineered pathogens and rogue AI's.

Paper publication of the book is a future possibility.
